Vision
Restoration Worship Center desires to be a community of believers for the east Colfax area of Aurora and Denver. We desire to be a vibrant ministry that provides a place for worshiping God and the restoration of broken lives in Christian community through meaningful relationships with Jesus Christ.
Mission
Restoration Worship Center is a new church being planted in the East Colfax corridor of Aurora and Denver. We are a church established specifically for this neighborhood. Initially, we will minister to the neighborhood by holding weekly worship services and Bible studies that are open to anyone who wishes to attend. The church will encourage casual attire so that no one needs to feel excluded because of the quality of their clothing.
We will expand ministry to our neighborhood by actively following the scriptural mandate to make disciples. We will disciple people by giving them opportunities for learning God’s word, developing deeper relationships with Jesus Christ, being in community with other believers and having opportunities to serve others.
An active relationship with Restoration Outreach Programs enables us to meet needs in our community. Restoration Outreach Programs provides for spiritual, physical, social and developmental needs of the poor and oppressed through Heart to Hand Resource Center and Prodigal Gatherings. Heart to Hand Resource Center provides counseling services, GED and other training, and a weekly food bank for the community. Prodigal Gatherings reaches out to youth in our community through Club House and Coffee House ministries.
As needs become apparent and workers become available, we will expand our ministry into areas working with specific groups such as:
- Children
- Teens
- Single moms
- Single dads
- Men’s ministry
- Women’s ministry
- Addicted individuals
- Spanish speaking people
Values
Our highest values are contained in our name, restoration and worship and community.
We believe in the restoration of broken lives through relationship with Jesus Christ and the community of believers. The world we live in and the lives we live often have destructive and devastating effects. Restoration Worship Center will be a safe place for broken and hurting people to come and find healing. We will not be a place to continue our broken existence but a place where we can find restoration to live healthy and productive lives.
Worship is the primary way we build relationship with Jesus Christ. Restoration Worship Center’s worship will be vibrant and relevant. We will provide an atmosphere where people can worship God freely. Praise and worship music at Restoration Worship Center will be designed to enhance both our individual and corporate relationships with Jesus Christ. In our praise and worship, we will endeavor to create an atmosphere that raises up the name of Jesus Christ and draws the worshiper into new depths of intimacy with Jesus Christ. Music will be drawn from any style and culture as long as it meets our objective of drawing worshipers into intimacy with Jesus Christ.
Community is another core value of Restoration Worship Center. The world we live in tends to isolate us from one another, but the word of God commands us to live together in community. We believe that being positively involved in one another’s lives brings personal and corporate healing as well as healing to the neighborhood.
