OUTREACHES TO OUR COMMUNITY

Throughout the year we host various large evangelistic outreaches to our community.  At times, our outreaches are held in conjunction with the 10:45 a.m. service at Restoration Worship Center.   After the service, we provide a meal and other resources.

The following are our current large community outreaches:

  • Easter Outreach, we have praise and worship, and a message followed by a meal and a resurrection Easter Egg hunt for the “least of these” children.
  • Mothers Day Outreach- we take the opportunity to bless our Moms with gift bags filled with items such as lotion and bubble bath.
  • Annual Summer Festival - in June our festival includes praise and worship, a message, food, carnival games, a jumping castle, face and nail painting and prizes for the children.
  • Back-to-School BBQ -  In late July/early August through partnership with Open Door Ministries and Foothills Bible Church in Littleton, CO, we provide praise/worship, an evangelistic message, games, a meal and we provide school supplies for needy families.
  • Thanksgiving Food Blessing – the Saturday before Thanksgiving, we distribute food to over 375 families – everything needed for a family to have a traditional Thanksgiving Meal with their family.
  • Thanksgiving Meal – the Sunday before Thanksgiving we have a meal for the families in our community.  In 2010, with the partnership of Foothills Community Church, Arvada, we provided meals to over 700 individuals.
  • Christmas Family Blessing   Through partnership with metro Denver churches, families, and individuals, we provide Christmas Gifts to families in our community who may not otherwise not have a traditionanl Christmas celebration.
  • Christmas Meal  - the Sunday before Christmas, through partnership with Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Centennial, we have a Christmas Service, a meal, plus provide Christmas Gift Boxes and Stockings for the children.
  • Christmas Stockings and Gifts for the Homeless - we provide Christmas Stockings to homeless men and women.

COUNSELING

At Heart to Hand, we provide Individual, Group and Family Counseling as well as Child Play Therapy. Through individual counseling, we attempt to help clients work through traumatic events and help them make the necessary steps toward functioning at a higher level.

Child Play Therapy is a means of helping children who are struggling, many times due to traumatic events. Children live and exist in the world of play and we take the opportunity to help them heal in the world of play.

All of our Counseling Services are offered at no cost to the recipient.

FOOD BANK

Through our food bank, we provide a weekly food distribution Tuesdays between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m., or until the food runs out.  Desiring not to threaten the dignity of any individual, we do not ask for identification or any proof of need.  An individual/family need only show up and let us know of their need.   We are able to provide food each week by utilizing food purchases from The Food Bank of the Rockies, and through donations received from individuals, churches, companies and other organizations.  We also provide food for families in crisis, and have several community meals throughout the year including special food boxes distributed during various holidays.
