Heart to Hand Resource Center Volunteer Opportunities

• Community Outreach Volunteers seek to reach out to meet the needs of the “spiritually lost” and “physically hungry” adults and children in our community through a choice of several large community outreaches each year.  Outreaches include: Easter, Mothers Day, Summer Festival, Fall Spa Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  (A 4-6 hour commitment for each outreach.) • Community Outreach Coordinator Volunteers seek to reach out to meet the needs of the “spiritually lost” and “physically” hungry adults and children in our community through one or more of the above outreaches.   The Outreach Coordinator will take charge of the entire outreach and recruit other volunteers to partner with ROP to provide needed resources.  (Contact: Lucy Bruser at 720-859-2513 or lovedbyiam@aol.com)
• Computer Based Training – We are in need of a computer based training instructor to volunteer one or two days per week for two-three hours per day.  Individual(s) must have a working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.  Training in Quicken and Microsoft Access will be available to the instructor.  Instructor will teach beginning computers and the above mentioned classes to a group with little to no computer knowledge. • Food Pantry Ministry – Individuals/groups are needed to come in on an as needed basis to help bag various Food Pantry commodities including: flour, dry beans, rice, and other such items.  (Contact:  Lucy Bruser at 720-859-2513 or lovedbyiam@aol.com)
• Meal Ministry – We are in need of groups that will help serve a meal during various occasions throughout the year. We need groups to purchase, prepare, serve and clean up meals.   (Contact:  Lucy Bruser at 720-859-2513 or lovedbyiam@aol.com)

Prodigal Gatherings Volunteer Opportunities

*Club House is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 PM.

*Coffee House is open Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30-8:30 PM.

• Hobbies - Share your expertise or hobby by putting on a workshop once a month for our kids, i.e., how to fix a bicycle, art projects, skits, puppet shows, play live music or teach our kids how to play an instrument.
• Meals – Prepare, deliver and/or serve a meal once a month for Club House or Coffee House. (Prepared meals should be brought by 6:15 PM.)
• Cleaning - Bring a group or family to completely clean Club House and Coffee House (as Prodigal needs, usually once every three months).
• Assist staff with outreach to motels by visiting our kids and families and telling them more about us.
• Kid talks on issues such as finances and budget, motivational speeches, life experiences, going to college, working in the real world, etc.
• Lead “God Talks”—Bible studies and spiritual discussion groups—with our teens once a week.

• Immersion - Be immersed in Prodigal – do you or your group want to check out Prodigal before you commit to interning or volunteering? Come visit for a night, a weekend or a whole week of ministering to Prodigals and learning about God’s heart for the poor.
