Another Lost Sinner has Come Home!

Just got the following email from Lucy Bruser, ROP’s Outreach Director and leader of our 12-step recovery program. I love stories like this.  Hope you are encouraged by it too.

“PTL!  Another lost sinner has come home.  Mike attended our 12-step program this morning.  He came to the office on Monday looking for some food and clothing assistance.  He came while I was gone picking up food. So Marla told him that we have a food bank on Tuesday and clothing bank on Wednesday, and that we also have a 12-step porgram on Wednesday.  She suggested he come back later that day to talk to me about the 12-step.  I was just walking out the door when he returned.  I invited him to the 12-step group.  He came to the food bank on Tuesday and this morning, he came to the 12-step.

It’s so amazing.  Last night as I was preparing a devotional for today’s 12-step, God kept telling me to focus on the Gospel.  I knew Mike was coming as were another couple for the first time. So, I did, and God did, and Mike received Christ as his Lord and Savior.  It was pretty special.

Praise the Lord!  He’s going to start coming to church (RWC) as well, so you (Kent) can meet him then.  He’s really a nice guy whose been addicted to drugs for many years, but seems to sincerely want to be delivered.  He said he wants to stop doing them permanently so he can be more like Jesus.”

Please join us in praying that Mike’s new relationship with Jesus would give him the strength and help he needs to be delivered from drug addiction and become more like His new Lord and Savior.
In His Service,
